2 Tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 celery stalk, chopped
1/2 carrot, grated
1 can diced tomatos
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 can tomato paste
1 bay leaf
1 chicken (or beef) cube
1 sliver of lemon peel
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 tsp fresh sage, finely chopped
Salt and pepper
In large skillet heat oil, add garlic and ground beef, cook until brown. Add onion, cook until onion is soft; stir in celery, carrot then all the cans of tomatos. Add all remaining ingredients, stir well. Cover and simmer on low for at least 1 hour.
Serve with spagetti and grated parmesan cheese.
A family staple at our house, let it cook all day for that all day cooked flavour.
